Maclaren Stroller Reviews

Maclaren Volo Review

This is a basic, no frills maclaren stroller, ideal if you're buying on a budget. As it doesn't recline, it's more suitable for older babies and toddlers. It's very sturdy and lightweight which makes it ideal for airport travel.

  • 5 point safety harness with a very secure buckle - your little Houdini won't get out of this stroller!
  • very lightweight at only 8.8lb
  • suitable for heavier toddlers - up to 55lbs
  • very compact when folded
  • convenient carry strap - handy for travelling as you can carry it over your shoulder like a backpack

  • it doesn't recline so most suitable for babies of one year upwards
  • shopping basket is quite small so only suitable for carrying a few small items

Maclaren Quest Sport Stroller Review

The Maclaren Quest Sport Stroller is the most popular and highly rated stroller in the Maclaren range and for good reason. Suitable from birth through to toddler hood (it carries kids up to 55lb) and highly durable, it might be the only stroller you'll ever need.

  • 5 point safety harness with a very secure buckle (some users complain that it needs to be pressed quite firmly to release but I see this as a plus as toddlers won't be able to work it)
  • suitable from birth to 4 years (and beyond as it has a 55lb weight capacity)
  • great for travelling with younger babies as it has a padded seat cover and fully reclines
  • available in a wide variety of styles, including a designer range
  • nice and compact when folded

  • difficult to access the basket when reclined
  • the sun canopy doesn't provide the best coverage - a sun shade extender might need to be used

Maclaren Techno XT

If you're looking for a stroller that's robust enough to use on a daily basis but light enough to travel with ease, then the Maclaren Techno XT could be the ideal stroller for you! This stylish, compact stroller is equally suitable for newborns, toddlers and preschoolers as it has a very substantial 55 lb weight capacity.

  • The hood has a viewing window, handy for checking whether your little one has dropped off to sleep yet.
  • Height adjustable handles reduces the risk of back pain. Both tall and not so tall parents will find this stroller very comfortable to push.
  • Has front and rear wheel suspension, making it extra durable.
  • It has an impressive sunshade that pulls down to give excellent coverage from the sun.
  • Can be used for your newborn as it reclines fully and has padded shoulder pads and cushioned seat.

  • It's not quite as light as the other Maclaren strollers.
  • It has a carry handle rather than a carry strap so you need to have one hand free to carry it.

Maclaren BMW Buggy

An ingenious collaberation between Maclaren and BMW, the sleek Maclaren BMW Buggy is a work of art. With BMW inspired wheels, a BMW buckle and a BMW logo on the hood, the trimmings are classy but subtle. If you want a stroller that's ultra trendy as well as functional than you can't go wrong with this latest creation from Maclaren.

  • Its ultra stylish and classy; dads will especially love the sleek BMW touches.
  • It has four wheel suspension making it easy to push, even over rough terrain
  • It's lightweight but very sturdy making it ideal for travel
  • It has a super comfy padded bucket style seat
  • It has a handy viewing window on the hood so you can keep an eye on your little one

  • The silver version of this stroller gets dirty very easily. If you're buying, go for one of the darker colours available.
  • It's more expensive. Ultimately, you need to make a decision whether it's worth paying extra for the BMW trimmings.
