Sallie is a retired mother and grandmother who has written short stories for most of her life. Her stories are from her heart to yours.

Learning how to navigate thru the world of babies in 2014

Clearly, God knew what He was doing when he gave babies to young women!

I am NOT the same person I was all those years ago and the world has changed dramatically. Gone are the days where you stuck your baby in a "punkin" seat and had one, single belt that went across the middle and that was that!

With Liam's help (literally) I figured out the safety harness on the high chair, but that wasnt until the second day. Liam, smart little boy that he is, watched my frustration for about 10 seconds, the first day, and then showed ME how to belt HIM into the highchair!

I had planned on taking him for a walk to the park in his stroller until I took one look at the stroller and told Liam we would just stay inside and watch Nick Jr.

He taught me all about the Bubble Guppies and Princess Sophia (my fave).

I taught him the Itsy Bitsy Spider, Patty Cake, and Peek A Boo.

I think we are friends.

It amazes me how technology has impacted even my 2-2 year old grandsons!

They pick up their parent's I phones and know how to navigate right to where they want to be!

I dont even have an I phone!

Another, "oh, so relatable" story! There were so many differences when I kept my grandchildren than when I raised my own three children. And even more now, which I clearly see, when I get to keep my two great-children (ages 4 and almost seven). I really believe the brains of the babies born today are pre-wired to automatically grasp and understand today's advanced electronic technological devices!!! And yes, we Grandmas are never too old to learn - at least I hope not!!
