How do you thank your significant other when they do something nice?
Do you offer a thank you, do something special for them or just accept it as the normal? I wonder how many people do nice things and then get no recognition or reward for what they do. How often would you do something nice for someone when they do absolutely nothing for you in return?
I always recognize when he does something nice for me (which is often) and I say, "Thank you, darling" and give him a big hug and kiss. I always do nice things for him--and others--but I really don't expect anything in return.
I don't expect something in return, but it would be nice to have someone acknowledge that you helped them. I am glad you make sure your husband is thanked, that is a wonderful gift you have given him!
I always make a point of acknowledging when he does something nice for me. I thank him and make sure to do something nice in return. It's very easy to take kind actions for granted when you see each other everyday, I don't want it to get to that point.
I always make sure to acknowledge and show thanks for things that people do for me. In response to "how often would you do something nice for someone when they do nothing in return"...well, the point isn't to receive acknowledgement or reward for things you do, but to do what is right and nice anyway...as if you are doing it for God, not man....rewards will be handed out in heaven that far outweigh the rewards we receive on earth...so just keep doing good, even if you are doing it without reward....God knows your heart and that is all that matters.
That is a very good point, we should not do things for an earthly reward. The reward we need the most will come from God, thank you for the adjustment in perspective.

It feels good to say nice things about others. Since the forums tend to get a lot of flack (sometimes deservedly) for negativity, I thought this might be a fun game to play. Name 3 positive things about the person who posted above you. ** Please start with the first person to comment -...
