Would you choose to drive 6hrs. for really good living  or stay put and struggle financially?

I have had to move to a remote place to look after my aging parents. the problem is they are not very wealthy and neither am I . I have tried to find something local but to no avail but something opened up 6hrs .away that is quite lucrative just a few days a week. So I can help my parents during the week and my sister can help over the weekends when I'm working. Locally would obviously be better but it is podunk middle of nowhere USA. They have no cell phone coverage so no computer ,so I must got to the library 15 miles away. No wi fi .
Would you make the weekly 6 hr. drive each week?

If the cost of the fuel for the 6 hour drive did not prove to eat up all your pay, then it would be a viable option. Will those days be in a row, so that you can maximize your expenses and possibly get a cheap motel room for those days rather than drive 6 hours 3x a week? There are many variables you should consider when thinking about something like this.

For example my fiance was working 1 hour away, our bills are cheap yet the 50 miles one way to work was eating up our money just for fuel costs.

Not to mention a 6 hour drive multiple times a week, mean more wear on your vehicle and your tires. This means you will need more oil changes and replace your tires more often. More miles on a car, means more upkeep!

I live in the middle of no where, so I get what you are going through. Just consider all options and perhaps give it a trial run for a few weeks. Traveling that much for work will have you exhausted before you even start your work day.
