Do you read a lot to your children?
What books you and your child (children) love?
We read books to our children at bed time, at least 20 minutes. I also read to them when they were interested in being read to.
Another detail of teaching them the habit of reading - if they asked me what I was reading, I sat them down beside me and explained the article or news story. I could explain the names of items in pictures, so it became a vocabulary lesson.
