A Beginner guide to understanding Numerology and the magic behind naming your baby

Now you can easily choose the perfect name for your baby!

Have you ever read your horoscope in the daily newspaper and thought, "Wow! That does sound exactly like me?" Or maybe you were one of the exciting daring souls who called a psychic and had simply been astonished at how much they "know" about you. It doesn't matter what method had brought you here- Let us say that destiny or fate had a hand in it.

You see, fellow traveler, the great secret behind all of this magic is through numerology: The ancient mystical science of numbers and what meaning they carry with them. Your name itself reveals important information such as: your personality traits, your nature, qualities and talents you possess, and, yes, even faults and shortcomings. These very same methods can be used to determine the personality, and destiny of your baby!

But first, before we do that we need to understand that ALL names carry an ancient power with them, and before we can rush ahead and start naming little Bill, or small Sally, we need to understand how to calculate the meaning behind names.

In numerology everything is always reduced to a set of basic numbers, being 1 - 9. I hear you growl, "But we are talking about naming my baby here!? What does numbers have to do with meanings?" Sit down, grab a cup of warm tea and pull a blanket closer as I explain the inner workings of calculating the destiny number of your baby.

Calculating a Destiny Number

Doing a personality test, the easy way!

At long last! We are getting somewhere!

In order to calculate the Destiny Number, of either yourself, or that of your soon to be born baby, you need to add up the value of the characters in the FULL name. In order to do that we make use of the following easy to understand chart:

1 = A, J, S

2 = B, K, T

3 = C, L, U

4 = D, M, V

5 = E, N, W

6 = F, O, X

7 = G, P, Y

8 = H, Q, Z

9 = I, R

As an example we will be using the name of famous manly actor, Brad Pitt, whose full name is actually William Bradley Pitt if you do a quick Google search (but then, you are smart so you probably knew that already!)

Firstly we would take William and add up the values as assigned to each letter:

William: 5 + 9 + 3 + 3 + 9 + 1 + 4 = 34

This would be reduced down to 3+4 which = 7

And then we do the same for Bradley: 2 + 9 + 1 + 4 + 3 + 5 + 7 = 31

3 + 1 reduces to 4

And last but not least, Pitt: 7 + 9 + 2 + 2 = 20

2 + 0 reduces to 2

After having done all of that hard work, we then add all three of the reduced sums together to get a total i.e. William + Bradley + Pitt, 7 + 4 + 2 = 13

Now for those still with us, remember that ALL double digits (except the master numbers 11 and 22 which are symbolic entities in themselves) are then reduced to a single number by adding them together. This means that Brad Pitt's Destiny is a number 4.

Now wasn't that very easy?

For the Love of Brad Pitt! - ..Because we like him!

While on the topic of Brad Pitt, here is a few of his exciting movies for you to choose from! "What does this have to do with Numerology and Baby names?" NOTHING! But hey, we all like Brad Pitt. :) ...and didn't we just use him as an example for our case study? I think it is the perfect compensation. He helps us with Numerology and Baby Names and we help him with his acting and movies and Brad Pitt-ness. Go on, you know you want to, but hurry up, as we still have a lot to learn!

But what does it all mean? - Interpreting the basic numerology numbers in order to choose the best baby name!

"Ok Bob, hold on a minute. I came here looking for a way to use numerology to choose a name for my baby and you end up talking about Brad Pitt? What exactly do the numbers mean? Those very numbers I calculated?"

Dearest Traveler, here is a list of the meanings for all those numbers you calculated:

#1-

Your baby will be an independent, hard worker, and easily self-motivated. He or she will always want to be the best, to be the number one in everything that they do. However, your baby will often be critical of himself and others. Remember that Ones are compatible with: 3, 5 and 9's. They will be challenged by: 4, 6 and 8's. A few words to describe a number one would be: Initiative, independence, forcefulness (masculine number).

#2-

Your baby will be a child of peace. They will always want a peaceful atmosphere, stable relationships, and lots of love and attention. However, when your baby get upset, he or she explodes. Twos are mostly compatible with: 2, 4, 6, and 7's. Your baby is challenged by: 5's and 9's. We could use the following to describe a number two personality: Diplomacy, tact, attention to detail (feminine number).

#3-

Your baby will be the comedian. They will love to make others laugh and always want to have the spotlight focused on them. Your child will also tend to exaggerate the truth, usually to get a laugh. Your baby will be most compatible with: 1, 3, 5, 6 and 9. They will always be challenged by: 4, 7 and 8's. In this case the best way to describe a three is: Spiritual, ambition, self-expression, easy success, lucky.

#4-

Your baby will be the teacher. They will love learning about things and are typically very intelligent. They also need lots of affirmation. In other words, if they're doing a good job, they need to be told so by others. Your child will love being alone, but are very devoted to his or her friends and loved ones. They are most compatible with: 2, 4, 6 and 7's. Your child will be challenged by: 1, 3, 5 and 9's.

#5-

Your child will love freedom, fun, and adventure. they will hate being controlled and have a hard time settling down. Your child will also love to experience anything and everything that is new. Your child are most compatible with: 1, 3, 7 and 9's. They are challenged by: 2, 4, 6's. Furthermore, the 5 can be described as: Imagination, inventive genius, charm, restlessness, adventurous.

#6-

Your child will be the nurturing type. They will make a great parent. People are attracted to them and their magnetic nature. They can get along with nearly anyone, but when they don't like someone they give a cool attitude that lets everyone know exactly what they're thinking. Your child are compatible with: 2, 3, 4 and 9's. Your child are challenged by: 1, 5, 7 and 8's. The six number personality is marked as somebody with: Tenacity, conscientiousness, success by working with another, domestic.

#7-

Your child strives on faith. They are typically very spiritual or religious. Your child will like to be alone to keep his or her mind from being too cluttered, and they will love natural beauty. (Rivers, mountains, etc.) Your child will be very passionate, but often have a hard time revealing his or her feelings for partners. They are compatible with; 2, 4 and 7's. Your child will be challenged by: 3, 6, 8 and 9's. To be a seven number means to be: Mysticism, magick, occultism, isolation, poets and dreamers; to be misunderstood by one's associates.

#8-

Your child will be the material seeker. They will thrive on money, power, and expensive possessions. Your little bundle of joy will have an executive's or politicians nature about them. However, they often work so hard that they forget about important things like family and love. Your child are compatible with: 2, 4 and 6's. They are challenged by: 7, 8 and 9's. The number 8 is trademarked by: Judgment, reason, organization, financial success.

#9-

Your child will be the humanitarian. They feel the need to make everything great, to take care of everything--even when they're in over their heads. They will often come across as patronizing or condescending, and they often hold a grudge for too long. They are compatible with:1, 3, 5, 6 and 9's. They are challenged by: 4, 7 and 8's. The number is best described as being: Sympathy, generosity, dramatic, artistic talent (higher octave-teacher, master).

Auspicious Baby Names created with the magical science of Numerology

A list of popular and powerful baby names!

The most auspicious names for babies are those that have a destiny number that is a 1, 2, 3 or 8.

A baby with a Destiny number (full name) that adds up to 1 may be destined to be a world leader.

A baby with a Destiny number that adds up to 2 will likely have a very happy love life.

A baby with a Destiny number that adds up to 3 is likely to be successful and famous.

A baby with a Destiny number that adds up to 8 is likely to be very wealthy.

A baby with a Destiny number that adds up to 11 is likely to be an influential, creative person and a spiritual leader. (That is me by the way!)

A baby with a Destiny number that adds up to a 22 is a master builder and is likely to change the world for the better in some way.

And if you are a sly scheming grandmother who wants lots of children you should look for destiny numbers that add up to 6 which is sure to saddle your offspring with many descendants. Unfortunately you might also saddle your child with so much responsibility that they rarely have time for themselves, extra cash or the time to grow as a person. Of course, try to find a name that adds up to 1,2,3 or 8 is

all dependent on the numerical values of your last name. If achieving a positive number or the exact number that you want seems next to impossible then your best course of action is to make sure the first or middle names add up to one of the auspicious numbers.

To save you a bit of trouble here is a list of first and middle names that add up to auspicious numbers. This will make the trait of leadership, wealth or whatever you like more prominent in their life. This list is by no means comprehensive but a sampling of what I could find by going through a baby names book and doing some addition in a few hours.

Auspicious Life Path 1 Names (LEADERSHIP)

What is interesting about Life Path 1 names is that many of the names that we usually associate with power and respect seemed naturally to add up to a 1 for boy names (such as Hadrian and Barrington0. By contrast many of the Life Path 1 names I found for females were more unusual and sometimes even implied an overtly sexual connotation such as Babette or a dour one such as Olga.

FEMALE - MALE

Aileen - Adam

Allison - Aldrich

Babette - Alan

Blaze - Alfred

Brittany - Amadeus

Bronwen - Ambrose

Caledonia - Anton

Calliope - Barrington

Camille - Beaumont

Carina - Buck

Daniela - Burgess

Dina - Cameron

Etta - Carling

Gabriela - Dan

Hadley - Duff

Hannah - Earnest

Iman - Edward

Iris - Gaylord

Isolde - Gil

Jennifer - Gilles

Katie - Gordon

Kristie - Hadrian

Leena - Ignatius

Luca - Knox

Lucinda - Marlon

Mavis - Mitchell

Michele - Nick

Natasha - Philippe

Nancie - Quentin

Odelia - Sandler

Olga - Spalding

Ornice - Ward

Rachelle - Xannon

Rebecca

Roseanne

Rose

Shandri

Zahara

Another thing you might want to notice is that a slight difference in spelling can make the difference in a Life Path. For example, Hannah with an h on the end might create the next female president but Hanna (without the H) adds up to a 2 in which case the child is more likely to marry early and be a homemaker.

Another good example of what a difference a single letter can make is Michele. Michele with one l is a 1, which is a leader while Michelle with two l's adds up to a 4 (a life filled with hardship.)

Auspicious Life Path 2 Names (LOVE)

Oddly when searching around for Life Path names that added up to a 2 it was a lot harder to find known female names that add up to a 2. Maybe that explains all of the single mothers on the planet. In fact this list is a little short because it was difficult to find names that would add up to a 2 in general.

FEMALE - MALE

Alana - Beau

Calista - Brutus

Carmela - Buddy

Dora - Caesar

Gail - Cary

Hanna - Doug

Lynda - Dylan

Marie - Glen

Nadia - Jared

Ocean - Jarett

Page - John

Sadie - Kobe

Selena - Mike

Omar

Raj

Reagan

Shane

Wolf

Zack

Notice in this case we have two names that add up to a 2 that sound alike - Jarett and Jared. However Jaret with one T would be a 9, which is not as fortunate.

Auspicious 3 Names (FAME AND TALENT)

What I found interesting about researching Life Path 3 baby names is how many of them the more unusual ones already belong to very famous people. Good examples are Britney (Britney Spears), Brooke (Brook Shields), Gwyneth (Gwyneth Paltrow), Buzz (Buzz Aldrin), Ethan (Ethan Hawke) and Jarod (Jarod Leto)

FEMALE - MALE

Alice - Addison

Althea - Alec

Amber - Alexander

Angel - Amos

Anna - Argus

Arlene - Austin

Asia - Bari

Bathsheba - Brighton

Britney - Brogan

Brooke - Buzz

Brunhilde - Carlin

Caitlyn - Dillon

Calvine - Drake

Candy - Egbert

Caressa - Ethan

Carlie - Gaius

Daphne - Iggy

Donna - James

Debra - Jarod

Daniell - Keelan

Deanna - Keagan

Dot - Luciano

Esther - Lyndon

Gwyneth - Madison

Jane - Mannix

Jean - Pascale

Latifah - Quinn

Lisbeth - Rafe

Manon - Roscoe

Nathalia - Sean

Oceana - Simeon

Pam - Tod

Pamela - Tom

Racheal - Tyson

Rita - Wallace

Rona - Waldo

Sandra - Zachariah

Simone

Xan

Xaviere

Notice in this set that Caitlyn is better than Caitlin is a 5 (the mark of a loner and single person.) Also notice that the name Ocean is a 2, but add the a at the end and the name symbolizes fame.

Oddly both Pam and Pamela both add up to a 3 which is the unusual case of a nickname adding up to the same value as the name.

Auspicious 8 Names (WEALTH)

What was interesting about researching this set of names is how many of them are already associated with very rich families and how old fashioned sounding many of them were. Examples are Faith, Gertrude, Honoria, Barcaly, Eaton and Spencer.

FEMALE - MALE

Aisha - Abraham

Alicia - Akeem

Anabel - Americus

Ananda - Andreas

Annabella - Angus

Annemarie - Archie

Aretha - Arden

Cassandra - Barabas

Cassidy - Barclay

Dagmar - Benedict

Danielle - Brian

Deborah - Brodie

Delores - Callum

Delta - Casper

Drucilla - Dante

Dyna - Dudley

Eartha - Eaton

Faith - Elton

Gaynor - Emanuel

Gertrude - Garett

Gypsy - Garfield

Heidi - Gavin

Honoria - Giancarlo

Janis - Godfrey

Keira - Heinz

Livia - Ingmar

Natalie - Jefferson

Noreen - Laird

Octavia - Marc

Pia - Nat

Reba - Ross

Sondra - Sanders

Tabatha - Sherwood

Tempest - Soren

Therese - Spencer

Thora - Xanthus

Valentina

Winter

Xaviera

Xenia

Sometimes it is just one letter between a prince and a pauper. Marc with a C is more prosperous than Mark with a K that adds up to a 7 (the number of a rebel and a loner). Tabatha with an a is more prosperous then Tabitha with an i which adds up to a 7 (a moody loner.)

MASTER NUMBER 11 Names

FEMALE - MALE

Ann - Adolf

Annabeth - Adrian

Astrid - Alonzo

Belinda - Andrew

Bridget - Anoush

Brigit - Baldwin

Cate - Bale

Catherine - Brewster

Dana - Byron

Felicity - Carter

Heather - Desmond

Jade - Fairfax

Karen - Frederico

Lenora - Fuller

Lucille - Hamilton

Lynette - Max

Maxine - Octavius

Paige - Ozzy

Philena - Parson

Raine - Pierce

Sparrow - Rainier

Tracie - Redell

Quinton

Werner

Notice that Page without the 'i' is a number 2 but with the 'i' the name becomes a master number.

MASTER NUMBER 22 Names

These names were quite difficult to find which might explain why there are so few master builders in the world.

FEMALE - MALE

Candace - Camden

Daisy - Elvis

Gwen - Jarell

Inga - Louis

Jacinta - Lucius

Jenell - Miles

Natalee

Natalia

One very lucky name is Natalee or Natalie. Natalie with an 'ie' at the end is an 8 Life Path which equals a rich woman but with two ee's at the name she becomes a master builder. So how would you put all this together? You would calculate the value of your last name and try to conjure a full name that not only equals an auspicious Life Path Number but also has two auspicious sub numbers. Odelia Alice Smith adds up to a one with sub numbers in the first and middle names of 1 and 3 famous leader. Buzz Americus Smith adds up to an 8 and a 3 and 8 as the sub numbers in the first and middle names. Alicia Delta Smith adds up to a master number 22 with sub numbers in the first and middle names both being 8s. The baby with this name could end up being a very rich and respected woman.

And in the very end...

We have a final word!

Naming a baby is a very important part of most cultures. The name given to a baby normally tells a story about either the parents life or has some other deeper message. Some cultures actually have a special naming ceremony were the elders gather and decide on a suitable name to bless the child. This article showed you how you can use Numerology to create the perfect name for your baby.

Other people might prefer to name their child at church during the Baptism ceremony. Nowadays the system is a bit different because you have to name your child at birth, while still at the clinic so that the birth certificate can be drafted. Either way.. the whole process of naming the baby is both exciting and sometimes confusing - but is enjoyable for both the new mother and father.

You probably spent a few nights just imagining your little bundle of joy sleeping in the baby's room in the little cute crib. Its not a dream anymore. Little Bill or Bob is in his baby cradle dreaming about his new exciting adventures he will have when he is old enough. Perhaps he will conquer Kingdoms like his Great Grandfather. Anything is possible...
