No Matter How Old I Think I Am Dad Is Always There
I have kids that call me dad now. But It feels great to still call him Dad!
Its amazing how the three kids have all moved away. They have families of their own now. I am the only son so I am now called Dad. But from my point of view there is only one dad in my life. He has been there through thick and thin.
Its amazing what my family life has been like with a good example to build upon. So this lens is a thank you for all that you have done.

I Love You
Is there a doctor in the house?
Nope just my dad.
And sometimes that is much better than any doctor. OK so he is also an EMT. Once again I bring up the brain surgery. He was there from the start. Meaning early in the morning he brought me to the hospital to get my head shaved and stayed throughout the surgery in the waiting room. When the surgery was over he and my wife were the first two visitors. He stayed at our home to help with recovery. This meant sleeping on a recliner. This also meant that he was willing to take time off from work. (This did not sink in until much later.) When it was time to get the metal stitches removed again he was there. From open to close he was there.

Thank You
Its summer time so what is a good thing to do on your day off?
Golf you say.
Yes that's right dad. For all you do and have done it is nice to get out so you can have fun and relax. I know that there has been at least one hole in one why not go for two or three more? You know you want to. I know you have all the equipment. The clubs the tee's. What's that you are thinking about someone to join you? And carry your clubs for you? What do I look like your caddy? Actually in the right light I do. I believe the last time I was on a course with you I was nine or ten.
Now I believe that I am old enough (46) to walk the course with you.
Even though I still don't golf, lets go golfing together.
The caddy has spoken.

I don't believe I'm saying this but, "No dad what do you want to do?"
Remember when you are on the golf range - Don't drink and drive.
— Sorry a golf pun for my dad.
