Where to Get Cheap Organic Food

Updated on August 28, 2016

Put to work that Costco membership and stock your fridge with healthy and organic foods that won't hurt your wallet.

So here we go - 10 Things You Should Buy at Costco:

1. Organic Extra Virgin Olive Oil.

At only $13.99 for 2 liters, this amazing olive oil is organic, pure and costs less then the well known store brands. This olive oil is not mixed with cheaper versions of refined oil, so you can enjoy the real taste of one of the best olive oils on the market.

2. Organic Ground Beef.

This ground beef comes in 3 vacuum sealed 1.34 lb packages. It costs $16.99 which I think is a very fair price for organic meat. It is made out of 100% grass-fed beef raised by small family farmers, without antibiotics, synthetic hormones, or pesticides; preservative and gluten free.

You will be glad you have this healthy meat for that notorious lasagna recipe you've kept a secret!

3. Organic Mixed Vegetables.

From Watts Brothers farms in the state of Washington, this vegetable mix is packed with freshest and finest vegetables: carrots, sweet corn, peas, green beans - all USDA Organic certified. Make sure you add a side of veggies to your favorite meals next time!

Cost: $6.69

4. Organic Spinach and Cheese(or Portobello Mushroom) Ravioli.

Mm mm.... These are delicious for one of those nights when the queen of cooking wants some rest. Just add one package to boiling water for 3 minutes, and Voila - dinner is ready. Each ravioli is made with USDA certified organic ingredients and it's free from pesticides, hormones, and genetically modified ingredients.

Comes in two 2 LB packages. Cost for two: $4.79

5. Organic No-Salt Seasoning.

Ah, the BBQ season is here! What better than a good seasoning on that tasty fish, poultry or meat. Made from a blend of 21 organic spices and ingredients from around the world.

Cost: $8.29

6. Organic Carrot Juice.

This is hands down my favorite product from Costco: sweet, silky juice with lots of antioxidants and vitamin A. No sugar added.

Cost for 3 bottles: $7.29

7. Organic Low Fat Milk.

Comes in a cardboard box that packages 3 half gallon carton of milk ($10.99). A clean choice for that granola and coffee in the A.M.

Speaking of granola - ...

8. Nature's Path Organic Flax Plus Granola.

Super tasty and nutritious, this granola is made from whole grains, is high in protein, omega - 3 and fiber. What a better choice for breakfast!

Cost: $7.89

9. Organic Eggs

Cage-free, certified organic, grade AA, no hormones or antibiotics. 24 count.

Cost: $7.29

10. Organic Baby Spinach

Make a delicious salad with this young and tender spinach packed with vitamin A, and C, calcium and iron.

Cost: $3.88/pound (price varies by season)
