- 8 ounces softened cream cheese (regular or reduced fat, do not use fat free)
- 1 cup of shredded cheddar cheese
- ¼ cup sour cream
- ¼ tsp onion powder
- ¼ tsp garlic powder
- ¼ cup chopped pecans (optional)
Blend cream cheese, sour cream, onion powder, and garlic powder until well mixed. Stir in shredded cheddar. Form mixture into a ball. If using chopped pecans, roll the cheese mixture in pecans until thoroughly coated. Refrigerate until firm, at least two hours.

Sweet Cheese Ball Recipe: Apple Cheddar Cheese Ball
- 8 ounces softened cream cheese (regular or reduced fat, do not use fat free)
- 1 cup of shredded cheddar cheese
- ½ cup of very finely chopped Granny Smith Apples
- ¼ cup of chopped walnuts (optional)
Mix cream cheese, shredded cheddar, and apples together until well-blended. Shape mixture into a ball and refrigerate until firm, at least two hours. If using chopped walnuts, roll in nuts before serving.
