What is Gluten?

Gluten is a type of protein found in the grains like, wheat, barley, oats and rye. It is commonly found in the baked food products such as breads. It can also be found in processed foods such as granola, crackers and cereals. Most of the signs of gluten intolerance and celiac disease are common, thus a complete test is recommended to determine the causes of symptoms.

When a person having celiac disease eats gluten rich foods then the production of antibodies are increases, which deposit under the first layer of the skin and causes rashes like condition such as itching, skin blisters, etc. Moreover, a person may experience the occurrence of dermatitis herpetiformis on shoulders, scalp, face, buttocks, knees and elbows. If the villi of the small intestine will get destroyed then a person may suffer fatigue, malnourishment, etc.
