8 Reasons to buy a Doughnut Maker

Updated on November 21, 2012

٩(•̮̮̃•̃)۶ The Christmas holidays are approaching, which means food, food and more food. The Doughnut Maker is very handy in making small doughnuts which will have that nice, freshly baked taste.

Why you should consider one?

  1. It’s easy for kids to use. They can decorate the dougnuts in a variety of ways, to give as little birthday treats for their friends or neighbours.
  2. The Maker itself, will make a nice gift. It can be bought as a birthday present, Christmas Gift or even Wedding Gift.
  3. Instant Gratification as doughnuts are cooked in a couple of minutes. Most Doughnut makers make 7 at a time, but the number varies.
  4. Non Stick - They don’t need oiling, which means the doughnuts come out easily, not sticking to the baking surface.
  5. Have fun cooking. You can experiment with different flavourings. E,g Chocolate, Coconut, Raisins etc. It also comes with a handy recipe book.
  6. They are delicious and are great for kids school lunch boxes.
  7. Easy to clean, especially if you put more mixture than you need, in the moulds.
  8. Excellent buy and good value for money. They retail from £15. Also, doughnuts will be cheaper and fresher, than those in your local supermarket.

*•☆ Ps. I love the American way of spelling Doughnut – It's short and simple. (Donut)

Safety – Always read instruction especially as kids might be operating it in your absence. You can pass on the safety warnings.

Tips – when buying a doughnut maker, it’s worth buying one that has a turning rack, a cooling rack and a dough making compartment. Size is also another factor to consider. If you have a large family, a bigger one is much better.

Would you consider buying one?

I have been considering buying one of these for our house. I could use it to make gluten free donuts, and that would make me a very happy mommy. Nice article. Sold.

I had no idea such machines were available for making them at home. I guess it makes them so easy to make if you buy one. Thanks for sharing this info.

@MHatter - Lol. I think I understand. The doughnuts in the shops are bigger too. Cheers, Happy Thanksgiving day.

@SupportMed - Oh we can't have that. Lol. Definitely, special occasions. Me too. Happy Thanksgiving.

@ShiningIrishEyes - Good idea. Always nice to make a change. Hope you enjoy using it. Happy Thanksgiving. Thanks.

@Flashmakeit - The idea of hot, fresh doughnuts every morning sounds nice with a coffee. For me... it will be evenings or I'll be late to work everyday. :-) Happy Thanksgiving.

This is a wonderful gift idea and I may just treat myself with purchasing one. I have been making my home made donuts the old fashioned way but this seems to make the process error proof and simple.

Makes a nice gift. For me it would have to be for special occasions only, otherwise, it would be too easy to have donuts everyday and not be able to fit into my clothes anymore, LOL.

Good product review. Thank you. There is only one reason I won't buy one. But as soon as she no longer works at my doughnut shop that will change.
