B Christopher’s Restaurant in Greensboro, North Carolina – Restaurant Review

B. CHRISTOPHER’S RESTAURANT

B. Christopher’s Restaurant located on North Elm Street in downtown Greensboro, North Carolina is an elegant establishment with soothing lighting and a bar with a flat screen tv, at the center of the restaurant. During the time that we were there, a football game was playing on the bar’s television.

  • There were quite a few people at the bar.
  • Whiskey, beer and fine aged wine were among the beverages being served up.
  • It seems like a place where work colleagues might gather for after work drinks / “happy hour”.
  • There are quite a few office buildings located within the same vicinity as B. Christopher’s Restaurant.
  • Although, we were there on the weekend, a Saturday, it seemed like quite a few of the people had been working that day and coming by the restaurant after work. Some were in small groups and some were dining alone. It was possible to have both meal and drinks while seated at the bar.

Located in Downtown Greensboro, NC, B. Christopher's restaurant seems to be located in an area that is very convenient for many people to visit after their work day.

Reservations are recommended for B. Christopher's Restaurant

For B. Christopher’s Restaurant, it is recommended that reservations be made prior to heading over to the restaurant for dining. B. Christopher’s Restaurant is open on Mondays thru Saturdays only, closed on Sundays. B. Christopher’s Restaurant is also open in the evenings only / during the dinner time hours only, starting at 5pm. Friday and Saturday evenings are usually quite busy at B. Christopher’s Restaurant.

Dining out on a Saturday evening

I have dined at B. Christopher’s Restaurant only once so far. My family went there on a Saturday evening. The view from the restaurant offered a reminder that sometimes downtown Greensboro can be quite bustling on a Saturday evening. The restaurant is located on some bus routes so when you dine there, you might see quite a few of the Greensboro city buses passing by. The kids love to people watch (and vehicle watch) as they look out of the windows of the restaurants with interesting views.

  1. The service was pretty good.
  2. The wait staff and bartenders recognized and were sensitive to the fact that the restaurant was quite crowded and they endeavored to be attentive to all of the customers. (It was not crowded when we arrived in the early evening but it was by the time we were leaving.)

The restaurant became busy but the staff was attentive

A crowded restaurant is not ideal for a pleasant dining experience but it helps when the staff people working there take an interest in making sure that all of the customers are being given what they are requesting in a timely manner.

Requests were handled in a timely manner.

A light meal

For us, not much food was ordered at all. It was a very light meal. We just ordered the salt and pepper calamari, the cheese ravioli and shoestring fries. That’s it. Diners at B. Christopher’s restaurant are also offered a complimentary bread basket. The ravioli and calamari each costs around $10.99 and the shoestring fries cost $7.50. The salt and pepper calamari seemed just a little too salty but it was still delicious. Staying within our budget meant ordering very little food but we were happy to experience this well-known and much talked about restaurant in downtown Greensboro, NC.

The elegance of B. Christopher’s Restaurant comes at a price. B. Christopher’s can be a pricey restaurant. At B. Christopher’s restaurant, there are steaks offered costing around $38, for example. We did not partake of any steak on this trip to B. Christopher’s Restaurant.

Truly, it is a lovely restaurant with nice ambiance and soothing lighting. We might return to dine at this restaurant one day in the future (with more money to spend:)) and enjoy some of the other food items that B. Christopher’s Restaurant has to offer.

B. Christopher's restaurant is an elegant restaurant.
