3650 Aguinaldo Highway, Mendez Crossing West Tagaytay City, Cavite, that is the exact address of Bag of Beans, where I spent one unforgettable breakfast. It was a not so cold morning, (well at least it was colder than Manila), and my cousin decided to go to this place for a good breakfast. She said it was a buffet breakfast, and since breakfast is my most favorite time for a meal, I was excited and my stomach churned with excitement too

The Facilities

Bag of beans is below the main road of Tagaytay, the reason why you see customers walking down the stairs made of stone. You have a choice, whether you want to take your breakfast in the garden like amenities, or you can stay indoors near the buffet table. The open air atmosphere makes the breakfast more appetizing and at the same time a real fun.

The Cabana

If you want a place of your own or if you want more privacy you can get the Cabana. Getting this place will automatically charge you 1 thousand Pesos but it is consumable for the next 3 hours, which is long enough for a group to take their breakfast and chat. For the three of us I think 1 thousand consumable was more than enough, in fact we did not even stay longer than three hours because we still need to proceed to our next destination.

The Buffet Table

The first table have all the refreshments. You have a choice of Juice, Coffee or tea. The bread, butter, cereals, milk, and large container of soup or porridge were placed next. The middle buffet table has the typical fried rice, sausages, hotdog, fried dried fish, all suggested heavy breakfast.

There is a cook waiting for you if you want an omellete of sunny side up fried egg. She is also there to cook you a pancake as you wish for it.

The last buffet table offers desserts mango crepe, brownies, tarts or even fresh fruits

My cousin chose fried rice, fried beef and fried dried dangget, while I chose my usual favorite, egg and hotdog combination with fried beef. My second serving was chicken soup combined with bread and butter, and for finale, I got the pancake with the usual butter-syrup toppings..

Enjoying life, taking the breakfast away from home. Enjoying the cools winds away from manila, enjoying the nature... Food and bonding with friends, that was really unforgettable.
