Beef and Cabbage Stove Top Meal Recipe

Beef and Cabbage Stove Top Meal Recipe

Ingredient List:

  • 1 pound of ground sirloin or ground round
  • 1 large head of cabbage, chopped
  • 2 medium carrots, cut into slices
  • 1 medium onion, chopped
  • 1 large can of diced tomatoes (28 ounce size)
  • 3 cloves of minced garlic
  • 3/4 cup of water
  • 1 teaspoon of salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon of ground black pepper
  • 1/4 teaspoon of oregano (dried)
  • 1/4 teaspoon of thyme (dried)

Preparation Instructions:

1. Preheat a large saucepan over medium heat.

2. Crumble the ground beef into the pan.

3. Add the onion and garlic.

4. Sauté until meat is thoroughly cooked.

5. Drain and rinse the meat and veggie mixture.

6. Return the cooked meat and veggie mixture to the pan.

7. Add the remaining ingredients to the pan.

8. Bring to a boil.

9. Reduce heat to medium.

10. Cover.

11. Simmer for 10 minutes, or until all vegetables are tender.
