Bananas
The banana is by far my favorite fruit. Only around 100 calories per banana (7-8 inches), they are very light yet filling. Bananas are full of so many good things! Perfect snack and a perfect ingredient for our smoothie! Loaded with vitamin B6, the banana gives us energy that lasts. Plus, the potassium is a great way to keep our blood pressure low. They also have Iron and fiber which can help if you have any elimination issues. And who knew it was a type of berry?
Kiwi
The kiwi (a berry as well) is also an energy booster!This little wonder fruit has more then 100% of your daily value of vitamin C! Great for immunity. Each medium size kiwi has about 45 calories! The protein in the kiwi make this tiny little fruit surprisingly filling.The seeds of a kiwi contain vitamin E and also omega 3 fatty acids. Easy to see why this is a perfect fruit to incorporate into breakfast or any meal.
All You Need
- 2 Bananas, Chopped
- 2 Kiwi, Peeled and Chopped
- 1 Cup Plain Low Fat Yogurt
- 1 Cup Ice, Crushed
Instructions
- Prepare your fruits. Peel, chop, etc.
- Next add all of your ingredients in a blender. Pulse on high for about 60 seconds.
- Serve and enjoy!
