Delicious Big Easy Cajun Tilapia Recipe

Have you tried tilapia yet. It's a white meat farm raised fresh water fish now widely available in American supermarkets. Its flavor is very mild and delicious. And here we have a delicious recipe for what we call delicious big easy cajun tilapia.

For Your Recipe You Will Need.

1. 4 Cups Corn Flakes Pureed Very Fine In Food Processor.

2. 1/2 Cup Fresh Grated Parmesan Cheese.

3. 1 Teaspoon of Paprika.

4. 1 Cup Dukes Mayonnaise.

5. 1 Tablespoon Cajun Seasoning.

6. 1 Teaspoon Ground Cayenne Pepper.

7. 2 Tablespoons Fresh Chopped Parsley.

Mix your finely ground cornflakes , fresh grated Parmesan cheese, seasonings , and fine chopped parsley in a large bowl. Place your mayonnaise into a medium bowl. You will want to prepare a baking dish or pan by spraying it with vegetable cooking spray. Preheat your oven to 350 degrees.

Now take your tilapia fillets and dip them down into the mayonnaise being sure to coat well. Now roll the fillets well in the cornflake mixture and place them onto the prepared baking pan or dish. You will want to bake the fish for 30-35 minutes until the fish flakes easily with a fork.Be sure that you don't overcook your fish. You want it to turn out golden brown just like in the photo.

You can cook tilapia , catfish fillets , or flounder fillets with this recipe and all will taste delicious. You can also use this very same recipe to cook skinned , boneless chicken breast and they will be so delicious.

A Note About Parmesan Cheese

Your very right " The Rope " fresh grated Parmesan is as different as day and night from the pre grated store bought. And on this baked tilapia it is so wonderful

Wonderful recipe, once again this is on the list. One word about parm cheese I learned from my italian friend - the reason pre-grated parm cheese is so strong is that the manufacturers grate the rind in along with the meat. If you don't love parm, trying the fresh may make you change your mind.

You want tilapia that have eyes that are full and not cloudy. The scales should be intact. Those are the ways to tell if its fresh or has been fresh frozen.

This is a great series on tilapia and how to cook it, thanks! Is there a way to tell by looking at the fish in the market how fresh it really is? I am familiar with shopping for salmon and most of the stuff sold here in the stores is old. Just wondering if you have any tips to get the freshest since it is all under shrink wrap here!

Looks similar to the Kob or Kabeljou fish we catch on our coastline, by the rounded tail.Gonna give it a try. Please add the rough estimate of weight for the fish to cook with the mixture or can you cook any weight for 30 - 35 minutes. Great recipe. Thanks for the hub.Rated up.
