Bread in a Bag: Premade Mixes Make Great Gifts

Make ahead mixes are a great way to prepare for a busy day. They also make great gifts for friends, co-workers, teachers, and family. Placing pre-made mixes in a decorative bag and accenting it with bread baking utensils such as spatulas, wooden spoons, or holiday décor turns a thoughtful bread mix into a gift anytime of the year.

To turn any make ahead mix into a "bread in a bag" creation, simply place the dry ingredients of the recipe in a zip lock baggie. Seal the plastic baggie and attach instructions for preparing the pre-made mix. Slip the plastic bag into a paper bag and decorate the outside of the paper bag with ribbon, stickers, a child's art work, seasonal décor, or cooking utensils to create a unique and special.

I think it's great to think ahead of time so your life can be easier on a regular basis. This is an excellent lens and very useful for everyone. I think this baking mix could be used for homeless shelters to make a consistent meal for those that are less fortunate as well as you and I.

That is very funny! You can make a bread in a bag recipe from any premade mix recipe. (Pancake mix, cake mix, bread mix, etc.) You just pretty it up for gift giving and be sure to include the remaining ingredients and instructions.

These sound interesting and easy for those moms on the go. I received a cookie in a jar before and thought it looked so pretty I didn't want to use it. It actually sat for about 8 years before I realized someone had made a home in it. I had to toss it. It was a sad day.
