Burgers and Dogs For You
Hamburger Grilling Tips
Make sure that your grill is at the right temperature before you try to grill your hamburgers. You want the grill to be pre-heated before you place your hamburgers on the grill. You don't want your grill to hot because your burgers will burn on the outside and not get done on the inside.
Don't turn your burgers to often. You want to cook your burgers to an internal temperature of 160 degrees. This way they will be plump and juicy but done on the inside. If you want to make cheeseburgers you'll want to add your cheese in the last few minutes of the cooking time. This way your cheese will be melted but won't be burned.
To toast or not to toast is the question. Some people will want to toast their buns while other people prefer their buns steamed in a bun warmer. I myself like to butter my hamburger buns and toast them in the oven.
You can heat buns for hot dogs in a bun steamer or bread warmer and your bread will be hot but not soggy when you add your hot dog wieners and other hot dog condiments.
Consider adding grilled vegetables to your hot dog , hamburger buffet. Fresh corn is so delicious grilled in the husk on your grill. Just be sure that you turn your corn often so it doesn't burn. When your grilling vegetables like corn you'll want your grill to be at a medium heat so you will be able to grill your corn and other vegetables with out burning them.
