Buttery White Cake
Last night, I decided to make an extra sweet treat for my family after we ate dinner. I didn't want to make anything too sweet and too heavy on the stomach. A cake does great wonders after a good meal.

Ingredients for the White Cake
- 1 cup white sugar
- 1/2 cup butter
- 2 eggs
- 2 tsp. Vanilla extract
- 1 1/2 cup All-purpose flour
- 1 3/4 tsp. baking powder
- 1/2 cup milk
Instructions for the White Cake
- Preheat oven to 350 degrees Fahrenheit (175 degrees Celsius). Grease and flour any pan of your choice, preferably 12 inches by 7 inches. Leave greased pan inside fridge until mixture is ready.
- In a medium bowl, cream sugar and butter together. Add in eggs one at a time, then stir in vanilla.
- Combine flour and baking powder, add to the creamed mixture and mix well. Finally stir in milk until batter is smooth.
- Bake for 35 to 40 minutes in the preheated oven. For cupcakes, bake 20 to 25 minutes. Cake is done when it springs back to the touch.
