  • 1 2lb box of elbows
  • 4 cups milk
  • 2 lbs cheese ends
  • 3 slices white american cheese
  • salt and pepper, to taste
  • 1/8-1/4 garlic powder
  • Italian breadcrumbs, a thin layer as a crust
  • 4 tbsp butter
  • 4 tbsp cornstarch
  1. Bring water to a boil in a decent size pan. (pan with need to be oven safe) Preheat oven to 350. In another smaller pan melt the butter. Once melted add the cornstarch until light color and mixed into butter. Add the milk and seasoning. While milk mixture is getting hot; cut cheese into smaller bites. Once milk is hot but not boiling add the cheese and stir until completely melted. Taste for seasoning and add more if need be. Take of the heat and set aside. Sauce will thicken. Add macaroni to water and cook till al dente. Drain and return to pot. Add sauce until pasta is very creamy. Stir sauce into macaroni and even out top. Add the slices of cheese breaking off pieces to fit. Add a thin layer of breadcrumbs and place in oven for about 15 minutes or until cheese is melted and starting to bubble. Cool for about 5 minutes and serve.
