Recipe: Easy Ramen Noodles with Cheese
Ramen Noodle Soup has always been a quick and easy go-to throughout my college career. It seemed like the easiest and cheapest way to eat when I was pressed for time and on a very tight budget. It wasn't long, though, until I had eaten Ramen Noodle Soup for dinner so often that I began to loathe it. I began to play around with different varieties and ways of cooking them, and this was the best that I came up with:
You Will Need
1 package of your favorite flavored ramen noodles
2. A little bit of shredded cheddar cheese (I use about 1/4 cup)
Note:
Sometimes, I only add half the contents of the seasoning packet, substituting the other half with a bit of garlic powder and pepper.
Directions
In a small or medium sized pot, boil the noodles for 8 minutes, or until they are soft. Then, drain most of the water from the noodles, leaving a small amount behind.
Next, dump all the noodles and remaining water in a bowl. Stir in packet of seasoning that came in the package of noodles. Season to your liking. Then, mix in shredded cheese, allowing it to melt into the mixture. Add more or less if you'd like.
Now, enjoy! But be careful, it's probably still very hot!
I find this recipe much more enjoyable than the plain Ramen Noodle Soup. So far, my taste buds have failed to tire of my Cheesy Ramen Noodles!
