  • 200gms chicken, small pieces
  • 1 onion, chopped
  • 2 garlic, cut
  • 1 tablespoon butter
  • a teaspoon 5 spice powder
  • required salt
  • 2 carrot, cubes
  • tofu, small pieces(optional)

Recipe for chicken 5 spice clear soup

  1. In a heated pan add a tablespoon of butter, add chopped onion,garlic and washed chicken pieces.Add 5 spice powder and stir fry it for few minutes.Now add cut pieces of one carrot and 600ml of water,required salt and cook till the chicken piece are tender.
  2. Now filter the broth,discard the vegetables,(save the chicken pieces for soup) add the remaining pieces of carrot and cook for two minutes.
  3. Remove the cooked soup in bowls, garnish with celery and serve it hot.
