China Café Restaurant in Greensboro, North Carolina – A Restaurant Review

Chinese food restaurants might seem very commonplace in the USA but as you well know, not all Chinese restaurants here are created alike. Some Chinese food restaurants have much better tasting food than others. Some have specialties that are prepared in a much better way than at other places.

As you try various Chinese food restaurants, you might find this to be quite true as you think for example that the cooks at one Chinese restaurant make much better egg rolls than at other Chinese restaurants or one restaurant prepares much better chicken wings than other restaurants.

When I am in the mood to eat egg rolls, I order them from a specific place and when I am in the mood to eat Chinese jumbo chicken wings, I might order them from another place because the place that sells the great tasting egg rolls does not necessarily have the greatest tasting wings.

A couple of recent Chinese food orders that my family made from China Café Chinese restaurant have me thinking that China Café will become our new go-to place for the chicken wings.

The jumbo fried chicken wings from China Cafe restaurant are hot, crispy and delicious.

China Café restaurant is located on Spring Garden Street in Greensboro, North Carolina. Our family was impressed with the food that we ate recently from China Café, especially the jumbo chicken wings.

The jumbo chicken wings were by far our favorite item that we have purchased so far, from China Café. They were some of the best chicken wings that we have ordered in any restaurant in quite some time. Photos of the jumbo chicken wings from China Café restaurant are included in this hub.

Other items that we purchased from China Café include the family dinner for $10 that allows you to choose 2 entrees that you will eat with fried rice. For our 2 entrees, we chose bourbon chicken and sweet and sour pork with the sauce on the side. If you are familiar with sweet and sour pork, chicken or shrimp from Chinese restaurants, then you know that the sweet and sour sauce is red in color and very, very sweet.

The plain fried rice that was paired with the family dinner from China Café was not the best plain fried rice that I have enjoyed from a Chinese restaurant. It was just okay, but those chicken wings were so very tasty. The sweet and sour pork and bourbon chicken were pretty good too.

We shared everything up and enjoyed our meal quite a bit.

In summary, the items that we recently purchased from China Café in Greensboro, NC are:

• Jumbo chicken wings – 12 for around $8
• Family meal (with bourbon chicken and sweet and sour pork as well as fried rice) – approx. $10.50

On another day later on, we placed another order with China Café and we purchased

• Jumbo chicken wings 25 for around $17.50
• Steamed dumplings
• Steamed white jasmine rice (a quart) for $3.50

1. With both of these two food orders from China Café, the leftover food did not reheat as well as we would have liked, on the next day.
2. Subsequently, the next time we order from China Café, we will probably just order a lot less food so that we can all eat it in one day since we did not particularly delight in the taste of the leftovers that had been microwaved on the day after each of our recent China Cafe purchases.
3. Generally, I and most of the people that I know like to just eat fast food and restaurant food while it is hot and fresh and not try to deal with reheating leftovers when the reheated food will not taste quite the same way, not quite as good. Nevertheless, for practicality, we sometimes say, “let’s order enough so that we can eat some tomorrow too” so it all really depends on what you would prefer to do.

We anticipate that with this restaurant, Chinese Café, we will just order the jumbo chicken wings only, the next time we place a Chinese food order there.
