Chips With Avocado Salsa
You: Is that a potato chip dipped in that jar of avocado salsa?
Me: Yes, it is a Onion and Chive flavored potato chip.
You: is that a beer?
Me: Yes, it is a Grain Belt Premium Light beer in the background.
You: is the salsa good?
Me: yes, this Tostitos Avocado Salsa has a jalapeno kick to it.
My hubby went shopping to get groceries for a weekend of snacking. He normally looks for the queso cheese dip, but since we have been consuming a lot of fresh avocados lately, he thought this might be tasty. It was.
He also purchased a small tub of guacamole and I mixed them together. Why waste it...
It was good.
Avocado, when ripe, is a sweet, creamy textured substance, that can be cut into chunks or mashed. My aunt, back in 1975, sliced it into flat slices and ate it on toast with miracle whip and tomato. She and I were picnicking at Sea World. Nowadays, we probably couldn't have brought our own food into the park
The flavor compares to a nut, like cashew.
You don't cook it. You eat it raw.
The Ingredient Panel
It has water, crushed green tomatoes, oil, avocados, jalapeno peppers, onions, red bell peppers, jalapeno pepper puree, whey protein concentrate, cornstarch, salt, lactic acid, spices, vinegar, color and milk ingredients.
I'm a victim. It's so good, I'm now an addict. Now, I have to go to sweaty meetings and confess my love for guacamole salsa.
Yeah, Tostitos, thanks...
