No-Bake Chocolate Christmas Bark

Who doesn't love chocolate and there's just something about chocolate bark that makes it irresistible.

I'm a fan of no-bake recipes, sweet treats that can be made in a pot on the top of the stove, then set to cool, instead of having to bake these up the oven. When you are in a hurry, these recipes can be life-savers.

This recipe for Christmas bark can be made around the holidays but, of course, you can enjoy it anytime you have a hankering for chocolate.

Chocolate bark is an easy-to-make sweet item when you are short on time but still need something special to serve company.

Chocolate Christmas Bark Ingredients

  • 2 cups chocolate chips
  • 1 cup smooth peanut butter
  • 1/2-1 cup long coconut

Instructions

  1. Melt chocolate and peanut butter on low heat, stirring until smooth.
  2. Remove from heat and stir in coconut.
  3. Smooth into buttered pan and top with more coconut
  4. Cut into desired shapes while still soft.
  5. Place bark in fridge to cool.
  6. For a fancy look, cut bark into diamond shapes.

Christmasy Bark Toppings

Once you've made this bark a couple of times, you might choose to experiment with different types of bark, using this same recipe but changing your toppings, you can make an assortment of barks. Sprinkle toppings over warm chocolate and press slightly into surface.
