How To Make Crockpot Chicken Tacos

Here is a recipe for wonderful Chicken Tacos that your family is sure to enjoy. You make this recipe in the crock pot so its quite easy to make these tasty Mexican tacos.

For You Recipe You Will Need

1. 6 Skinless Boneless Chicken Breast

2. 1 Chopped Fine Medium Yellow Onion

3. 1 Chopped Fine Green Bell Pepper

4. 1 Packet of Taco Seasoning

5. 2 Cups of Salsa

6. Flour Tortillas or Taco Shells

For your taco toppings you will want your choice of diced purple onion, lettuce, sour cream, diced tomatoes, grated Mexican cheese, guacamole or really anything that your family or you likes on their tacos.

You can make a wonderful taco salad by using this shredded chicken as a topping for your taco salad. You can also make great chicken quesadillas with this chicken. To do that you will need flour tortillas, grated Mexican cheese, and your chicken. Spread your chicken around on one flour tortilla and then spread your grated Mexican cheese over the chicken and then place another flour tortilla over the top. Bake in a 350 degree preheated oven for 10-15 minutes. Remove from the oven and slice into wedges for wonderful chicken
quesadillas.

Where Did Those Quesadillas Come From?

In case you don't know quesadillas were first made and served in colonial Mexico. The quesadilla has changed and evolved over the years. In the United States quesadillas are served as appetizers. And they are made many different ways. There really is no hard and fast rule for what goes on a quesadilla or what doesn't.

You can also come up with some ideals of your own and make.

Tortilla Chicken Soup
Or Come Up With Ideals Of Your Own

Chicken Thighs are cheaper and you can make great shredded chicken from them. Just de-bone and remove the skin from the chicken thighs before you add them to the crock pot to make them easier to work with.

More Great Chicken Information

Lite Bite Money Saving Tip

You may not know it but chicken thighs have a lot more flavor than chicken breasts and you can buy chicken thighs for about a third the cost of chicken breasts. Removing the skin from chicken before cooking decreases the fat content. To quickly remove the skin from uncooked chicken parts, grasp the skin with a paper towel so it doesn't slip out of your fingers, and gently tug until the skin pulls away and seperates from the meat.

You can use chicken thighs in the recipe above and I think you'll find that they will be oh so delicious.

Safety Tips

You should never thaw packages of chicken in the sink or out on the counter. Bacteria thrive at room temperature. Always thaw your packages of chicken on a tray or in a baking pan on the lowest shelf in your refrigerator.

Bleach Solution

You can make a great sanitizing soulution from one quart of bleach added to three quarts of water. Put it in a spray bottle and use it to clean up after you work with chicken.

Home From The Market

When you come home from the market always freeze your chicken as soon as you come home unless your going to use it with in 24 hours. If your going to use the chicken with in 24 hours store it on a tray or on a baking pan on the lowest shelf in your refrigerator.

Awesome hub! As others have said, this looks like a rewarding yet really easy way to add some spice to eating chicken. We don't really have taco shops in the UK so with this recipe I can experience them for myself properly. Looks delicious!

Great recipe. I've made this twice. The second time I used a can of Rotel tomatoes with chilies instead of the salsa, and I liked that much better.
