WHAT??? One of these things is NOT like the OTHER!

Some things are so bad they almost seem good. I didn't say they were good - just seem good. No offense to my southern brothers and sisters, but down below the Mason Dixon is a little temptress called the "Fried Twinkie" and it’s two kissing cousins Fried Oreo’s & Fried Snickers. Some may say, "Yuk, sound like heart pain and regret in a brown paper wrapper", but until you are faced with its lightly golden brown casing, hold your judgmental sneers.

The scent sweetly beckons you forward. Your curiosity aroused..., "one small bite, for experimentation's sake, won't hurt, right?" It's only good sport to try something different, something new at least once? Plus Andrew Zimmerman (Food Network, Bizarre Foods) always says try at least two bites... of something new right (loose quotation)'.

They look tasty; they go down smooth, the rich decadence of it... Mmmmmm delicious! Then comes the smile, We acknowledge the small feat, like an explorer, we've discovered new territory, done something we've never tried before.

Some of the most grotesque, unthinkably unhealthy, unimaginably costly, things look so deliciously delightful. They literally call out to your every sense... Come; partake of my ooey-gooey goodness...

OKAY - I Know ... This is wrong But here's a quick & dirty recipe if you want to partake!

INGREDIENTS

-Twinkies (or Oreos, or Snicker Bars, or OTHER ooey gooey goodie)
-Popsicle sticks (optional)
-Vegetable oil (or Peanut Oil)
1 Cup Milk
2 Tablespoons vinegar
1 Tablespoon oil
1 Cup flour (plus a little for dusting)
1 teaspoon baking powder
1/2 teaspoon salt

PREPARATION:
1. Freeze Twinkies (or other goody) until HARD
2. Heat veggie oil (or) peanut oil
3. Mix wet ingredients in medium sized bowl (milk, vinegar and oil)

4. In another bowl, mix dry ingrediants (flour, salt, baking powder)
5. slowly add dry ingredients (can blend or wisk) into the wet - mix until smooth then refrigerate.
6. insert popsicle sticks, dust with flour and dip into the batter. MAKE SURE TO COMPLETELY COAT THE WHOLE TWINKIE (or other goody)

7. Slowly & Carefully place into the hot oil (don't burn yourself NOW...)

8.It will float up in the hot oil, so make sure to turn & hold it under - Thus the reason for the popsicle stick).

9. Waiting 3 to 5 minutes to completely brown...

10. Remove from the oil & let rest/drain/cool for few minutes on a brown paper bag or paper towel.

NOW drizzle chocolate sauce, icing, berry sauce, OR just dust with powdered sugar if you like * AND * enjoy this delicious, uncontionable, treat.

****THE REST OF THIS POST IS REAL FOOD FOR THE SOUL***

Now like the Fried Goody above... Life can hold quite a few deliciously sinful experiences that turn from Experiment INTO Habit. Imagine eating one of these little brown beauties twice a day??? God have mercy on your heart!

Most of us can try it just once, maybe twice, and then turn away. Others are trapped & ensnared after just one bite. Of course we shouldn't try it even ONCE, but let's be honest - we all have made the mistake.

  • (Romans 7:19) For the good which I have a mind to do, I do not: but the evil which I have no mind to do, that I do.

*** Remember***

  • (1 Corinthians 10:13) You have been put to no test but such as is common to man: and God is true, who will not let any test come on you which you are not able to undergo; but he will make with the test a way out of it, so that you may be able to go through it.

Yes... There is a way out. HEBREWS 4:14-15

  • Seeing then that we have a great high priest, that is passed into the heavens, Jesus the Son of God, let us hold fast our profession. For we have not an high priest which cannot be touched with the feeling of our infirmities; but was in all points tempted like as we are, yet without sin. Let us therefore come boldly unto the throne of grace, that we may obtain mercy, and find grace to help in time of need.

SCROLL THROUGH THE PICTURES ABOVE - NOTICE ONE OF THESE THINGS IS NOT LIKE THE OTHERS??????? ***CHOOSE THE FRUIT !!!*** You'll appreciate the fact you did! & YOUR HEARTH (AND SOUL) will thank you for it later.

And For those who do know....

Brothers, if someone is caught in a sin, you who are spiritual should restore him gently. But watch yourself, or you also may be tempted. – (Galatians 6:1)

YALL COME BACK NOW... YA HEAR???
