Delicious homemade bread pudding, that taste like grandmas, rich and very tasty.

6 slices wheat  or white bread or  6 to 8 lge. biscuits.  Soak bread in 1 cup milk

1 1/2 can evaporated milk

1 stick grade A butter ( soften).

2 cup light brown sugar

1 sm. box instant  vanilla pudding

2 Tbs. flour

3 eggs ( Beaten).

1 tsp. baking powder

1 tsp. nutmeg spices

1 1/2 tsp. vanilla extract

2 dashes salt

1/2 cup raisins ( light or dark). optional

1/2 cup pecan pieces  ( optional).

Directions:Take milk soaked bread  and add:  sugar, vanilla pudding flour, baking powder,milk,eggs, nutmeg, salt and butter and mix all ingredients together until blended.

Add: raisins, and pecan pieces and mix in well.  Pour in gredients into a grease or oiled oblong pyrex dish. bake at 375 degrees until golden brown  at about 35to 45 minutes.

This bread pudding is a great dessert treat for the whole family. it's rich delicious and tasty. a dessert that's rich and tasty with a touch of crunch. you don't have to use the nuts or raisins but they are really good in the mix, just add a dollup or two of whip cream while it's still  warm um,um,good.

      Oh love bread pudding - and defintely with raisins. One friend made it with chopped up peaches. Delectable!

      You are bringing back all those wonderful childhood memories!I'll save this for the winter when I bake a bit and have this with a cup of green tea!
