Diet Friendly, All Natural Cooking With Seasoned Skewers

Updated on December 29, 2007

I'm always looking for great ideas for seasoning lean meats without adding fat, sugar, or salt to them. I recently discovered a truly unique way of flavoring meats that doesn't add anything but flavor. The idea is so simple, yet unbelievably innovative.

Callisons Seasoned Skewers

I love grilling, and shish-k-bobs are one of my favorite grill-friendly entrees. In the past, whenever I've prepared meat and vegetables for this cooking technique, I've marinated it or seasoned it with something. With Callisons Seasoned Skewers, however, there's no need for external flavoring agents.

These innovative skewers literally have the flavor built right in. They are simple wooden skewers that have been infused with all-natural flavors and essential oils. While the meat and/or vegetables cook, the skewers flavor it from the inside out, providing rich flavor that carries all the way throughout the food. These seasoned skewers don't add any calories, fat, sugar, sodium, or preservatives to your meal, so they offer one of the healthiest possible options for seasoning food.

Flavor Selection

Callisons Seasoned Skewers are available in a variety of different flavors, with something sure to please every palate. Available flavors include:

  • Citrus Rosemary
  • Garlic Herb
  • Honey Bourbon
  • Indian Mango Curry
  • Mexican Fiesta
  • Thai Coconut Lime

Quick Cooking Solution

In addition to the diet and health benefits, Callisons Seasoned Skewers also provide cooks with one of the easiest possible solutions for creating delicious, highly flavorful meals in no time at all. When you marinate shish-k-bobs, you have to allow your meat and veggies to soak for several hours before you're ready to cook.

With these pre-seasoned skewers, you don't have to plan ahead to enjoy a delicious shish-k-bob meal. Serving this elegant can literally be a spur of the moment decision, and the finished product can be on your dinner table as quickly as grilled hamburger patties.
