Easiest Chocolate Fudge Recipe Ever!
Too Easy Great Gifts!
Hi Everyone! I hope you all are enjoying the Christmas season. I finally finished all my shopping. Yeah me :) Because money has been so tight this year, I actually decided to peruse Youtube.com for a couple of ideas for home made gifts. You know, for those people on your list who already have ABSOLUTELY EVERYTHING! I found a great video for making heirloom ornaments and they came out fantastic!! I sent a set out to Dad and My Other Mother (she's my step-mom, but this has always sounded too cold for someone so wonderful) and I made a set and brought them to mom. These ornaments were so easy, it's a great craft you can do with kids. I don't have the link, but if you go to Youtube, I'm sure you can type in holiday heirloom ornaments. That's how I found it. But anyway...
So left on my list was my most beautiful, caring, sweet, giving and loving aunt. She has had the worst year ever! I know money has been tight for almost everyone, but she really had it tough this year. Yes, I made a special heirloom ornament for her too. Her ornament has a beautiful black and white photo of her mom, my nana, on it, but I also decided to make her some homemade chocolate fudge for her sweet tooth. Something sweet for someone sweet.
So here it is! I promise it is just too easy! Tastes GREAT!!
What you need:
- 3 Squares unsweetened chocolate
- 1/4 C. Butter
- 1/2 C. Mashed Potatoes (Yes, mashed potatoes)
- 1/8 Tsp. Salt
- 1Tbs. Vanilla extract
- 1 Lb. Powdered Sugar
- Make your mashed potatoes as directed on the package.
- Melt your chocolate and butter on the stovetop, stirring constantly until fully melted
- Blend your chocolate into your mashed potatoes
- Add your salt and vanilla
- Mix well by hand
- Slowly sift and mix in all your powdered surgar
- Knead until smooth
- Press into greased pan
- Chill for 1 hour
Yep, that's all there is too it. I hope you enjoy it. I'm about to make my second batch. This batch I will split into two smaller batches. One for mom and one for me. Yum!
Hope you all have a VERY MERRY CHRISTMAS AND A HAPPY NEW YEAR!!
