Cook Time
Ingredients
- 3 cups All purpose flour, Sifted
- 1 tablespoon Yeast
- 5 tablespoons Powdered milk
- Pinch of Salt
- 1 ¼ cup Brown sugar
- 1 cup Water, Lukewarm
- Small amount of Milk
- 2 tablespoons Cinnamon powder
- ¾ cup margarine or butter, Room temperature
Baking is not only about enjoying,
It's also a relaxation
Instructions
- Firstly, combine flour, powdered milk, ¼ cup margarine and ¼ cup brown sugar in a large mixing bowl. Break down margarine through squeezing it.
- You can directly add the yeast to the dry ingredients and add the lukewarm water directly OR let the yeast bubble up separately.
- Add the yeast-lukewarm mixture to the dry ingredients if you did it separately.
- Knead the dough until soft or until if the dough bounces back when you poke it.
- Roll it into a ball and place it back to a bowl. Cover and let it ferment in a clean dry place for about 30 minutes.
- While the dough is rising, combine 1 cup sugar, ½ cup margarine and the cinnamon for the filling.
- After the dough had risen, punch it down to release extra air.
- Roll it into a rectangular shape and spread the filling evenly on the surface. Carefully cut it vertically.
- With the remaining filling, spread it in your pan and cover it thinly with milk.
- Assemble your cinnamon rolls in your rounded pan and cover it, ready for proofing for 20 minutes. You can place it on top of your oven that is pre-heating for a faster process.
- After proofing, place it directly on the pre-heated oven and bake it at 180 degrees Celsius for 20-30 minutes.
- Enjoy!
Note:
- Please do always remember that all brown sugar that I used is pact. It means that it's really pressed down so that when you flip it, it will still have the shape of the measuring cup.
- Check also the temperature of the oven from time to time to avoid burning. Don't worry, it will not sag.
