Easy Beef and Vegetable Stew

It was a rainy, gloomy Sunday and nothing sounded better than a big pot of stew.

With only six ingredients, this recipe is easy, filling, cheap. What more can one ask for?

Cook Time

Prep time: 15 min
Cook time: 2 hours 30 min
Ready in: 2 hours 45 min
Yields: Serves 4-6 people


  • 2 lbs Stew Beef
  • 3 cups Cubed Potatoes
  • 2 cups Sliced Carrots
  • 2 cups Sliced Celery
  • 1 Chopped Onion
  • 10oz can Beef Stock
  • Hot Water
  • Salt
  • Pepper
  • 2 tbs oil
  1. Add chopped onions and beef to heated oil in pot
  2. Cook until all beef is browned and onions are soft
  3. Add broth and hot water until all beef is covered plus an inch
  4. Cover and heat on low for 2 hours
  5. Add vegetables
  6. Raise heat to medium and cook 20-30 minutes or until potatos are soft
  7. Season
