Easy Lemonade Pie
Citrus fruits are among my favorite of foods. I love the tangy taste of oranges, lemons, grapefruits, and limes to name a few. Something about the sour and sweetness together appeals to my senses. This recipe is for a lemonade pie. Tangy lemon flavor with the sweetness of condensed milk, resulting in one hell of a pie! My great grandma used to make a pie very similiar to this when I was a little girl but I still haven't gotten the recipe down exactly. Serve with a squirt of whipped cream if you like.
Cook Time
Ingredients
- 1 can frozen lemonade
- 1 16 oz plus 1 8 oz tubs whipped topping
- 1 can condensed milk
- 1 package butter cookies
- 1/2 cup pecans, chipped
- 1/2 cup margarine or butter, melted
Directions
- Use a food processor to mix cookies and pecans extra fine. Divide this mixture in half and place half in each of two pie pans.
- Add 1/4 cup of butter to each pan and pat the crust down.
- Bake empty crust for 10 minutes at 350 degrees. Then remove and cool.
- Thaw lemonade and whipped topping while making pie crusts. Then in a large bowl, combine slushy lemonade, whipped topping, and milk. Fold each ingredient in gently.
- Pour half of lemonade mixture into each crust. Cover and refrigerate overnight. Serve with a dollup of whipped topping or whipped cream. Yummy!
