What Makes Familia Camarena Tequila Special?

Quality Production

Familia Camarena Tequila is crafted from 100 percent blue agave from the Los Altos Highlands region of Jalisco, Mexico. This area is widely known for premium tequila production.

The tequila is available in both a Silver and Reposado varieties. It is crafted using time-tested traditional methods. For example, the production process includes slow roasting the agave in a volcanic oven, milling without use of chemicals, and fermentation under close supervision. It also goes through a double distillation process in small batches.

This exacting level of care and craftsmanship is even extended to the bottling procedures. Before going to market, the premium liquor is bottled, labeled, packaged, and inspected by hand. The end result is premium flavor that rivals the most expensive tequila products on the market, without the high-end price tag.

Family Tradition

Familia Camarena Tequila is produced by the Camarena family, with production overseen by Mauricio Camarena , an experienced tequila producer with more than 25 years of experience in the industry and member of the sixth generation of the family. The Camarenas have been in the business of producing tequila at a distillery owned and operated by the family in Arandas, Mexico – a prestigious tequila producing location -- for more than eight decades.

According to Mauricio Camarena, “Tequila making is in my family’s blood. It is not a job or hobby, but a way of life. We began as agave growers, where for nearly 80 years my family spent their days understanding the land and climate, selling to local tequila producers. It is a true honor to continue my family’s legacy with a premium tequila that showcases the rich history and exciting future ahead for the Camarena family.”
