Favorite Fast Food Chicken Restaurants

Updated on October 1, 2012

Fast Food isn't all about burgers and fries. There are several fast food chicken restaurants that can be great choices when you're looking for a quick meal that doesn't have to be a burger.

Many of the fast food franchises offer a good selection of chicken entrees, ranging from traditional boxes or buckets of fried chicken to grilled offerings, sandwiches, and wraps.

Popular Fast Food Chicken Restaurants

Popeye's Chicken

Founded in New Orleans by Al Copeland, Popeye's offers the Cajun cuisine take on fast food fried chicken. If you like spicy chicken, you'll flip for Popeye's chicken. They also have a mild variety, for those who are less adventurous. You can purchase individual meals or family packs. They have delicious biscuits and a wide variety of sides, including: mashed potatoes, dirty rice, French fries, and much more. If you like chicken tenders, you have to try them at Popeye's. They're available in fried and grilled varieties, and both types taste great. You can find coupons for the locations near you on Popeyes.com.

Church's Chicken

Church's fried chicken is available in original or spicy. You can get bone in or chicken tenders in either variety. You can purchase individual meals or multiple piece packs. Church's offers a wide variety of side dished, including corn on the cob, cole slaw, fried okra, and mashed potatoes. Their biscuits are topped off with a delicious honey butter that gives them a unique Southern flavor. Look for a Church's Chicken near you on Churchs.com.

Kentucky Fried Chicken (KFC)

KFC is the original fried chicken franchise, currently offering the modern version of the original recipe that Colonel Sanders made famous decades ago in Louisville, KY. KFC is proud to now offer fried chicken with no trans fat per serving. KFC offers a diverse menu, featuring a variety of meals, sandwiches, snacks, sides, and desserts. Whether you're looking for a family pack of chicken, a plated meal, or the unique innovative "bowl" meals KFC made famous, you're sure to find something to please every member of your family at this fast food chicken outlet. You can access printable coupons on KFC.com.

Chick Fil A

Chick Fil A offers a variety of chicken items. You won't find buckets of bone-in fried chicken here. What you'll find is a varied selection of grilled and fried chicken sandwiches, salads, and wraps; chicken nuggets; and chicken strips. This chain even carries chicken soup and chicken salad sandwiches. Chick Fil A's waffle fries are quite popular. The quick serve restaurant also offers lighter side dishes including side salads, carrot and raisin salad, and fruit cups. If you like chicken biscuits, be sure to stop by your local Chick Fil A during breakfast hours sometime soon. To locate a restaurant near you, see Chick-Fil-A.com.

All these restaurants make incredibly good chicken, but the oils they're frying in will kill you. They should post a warning: "Do not eat here more than once a month."

Ya, I know - "shut-up and go away," right?

I love chicken as long as its not kentuck, red rooster or any takeaways. I think of them as dog food like mcdonalds.... Although that would be insulting our dogs. Sorry

    Interesting hub
