About the Melting Pot

The Melting Pot restaurant got its start in 1975 when the first location opened in Maitland, FL. The second location opened in Tallahassee in 1979, with a third to follow in Tampa in 1980. In 1985, the restaurant became a franchise operation, and the chain grew to more than 130 locations across the United States by 2009, with more to come.
