Food Tripping alone, at Tsoko. Nut, located at SM Cubao Cyberzone
Curiosity led me to this
I am a Cyberzone fanatic, trying to be techy though I don't have the luxury to buy the most popular and latest gadgets in town. I enjoy window shopping around, trying to find cheap but rare or amusing accessories for my gadgets..
Walking around, I saw this Tsoko.nut.... though it looks techy because of the dot something between the words TSOKO AND NUT, obviously the said establishment is trully PINOY. The Hot chocolate is everything that I wanted a hot chocolate to be. It is called "Tsokolate ah Batirol", which reminded me of the Tsokolate ah in Rizal's Noli me tangere, and the Batirol as the old-fashioned way to melt and crash the round tablea made from Cocoa.
Spaghetti Aligue
I am not sure if it is only me, but this Aligue Pasta is a perfect match with the Tsokolate ah Batirol.
But then, let me talk about the taste, if you consider yourself a pasta adventurer this is a must try. The tasty aligue of crab, combined with Pasta, may sound new to some but this combination had been in existence for couple of years ago.
Maybe not good for those with Highblood Pressure, but still I would like to recommend this.
Creamy Malunggay Pesto with Shrimp
This is another twist in the world of Pasta making... Obviously very Filipino with the use of Malunggay in replacement for Basil Leaves which is the main ingredients in making the Pesto Pasta Sauce. This is tasty, creamy and yet very nutritious too with the use of Malunggay which is also known as miracle plants because of its many healthy benefits.
I tried this one on a separate day. As a food tripper and someone who loves to write about food in a particular restaurant or bar or even fastfood, I always try to order from menu what attracted my curiosity the most, the problem is, even if my pocket can afford two or more dishes or dessert, my stomach is not that flexible to accomodate all of them. The combination of pasta and Tsokolate Ah Batirol is enough to pacify your hungry taste buds and belly, over-eating is not adviceable but Tsoko.nut has mouth watering desserts too, order at your own risk hahaha.
Just like the Aligue Pasta, the taste of Creamy Malunggay Pesto Pasta is also a perfect match with the hot chocolate.
Desserts
Although The pasta and hot chocolate combo is just enough for me, I still ordered sweet companions for the hot chocolate. Napoleones is very new to me but I think it is best to dip it first to the hot chocolate so it will be softer when you eat it. Bananarama cupcake gave me an impression of banana cake combined with carrots. I brought this one home because I was really really full after eating the Napoleones.
I tried these desserts on the first time I landed feet at Tsoko.nut. Since it is accessible for me to visit shop and I am still curious with what I have seen in the menu, I will update this hub from time to time..
