Green Chillies Pickle Recipe - Ingredients and Method of Preparation
Green Chilli Pickle or Hari Mirch ka Achar can be prepared at home without much effort and can taste better than the one we buy from the stop. The ingredients and method of preparation of this pickle is given below.
- ½ Kilogram Chopped or Whole Chillies slit on one side
- ½ Cup Salt
- ½ Cup Sugar
- ¼ Kg Mustard Oil
- 2 Cups White Vinegar
- 1 tsp Red Chilli Powder
- 1 tsp Turmeric Powder
- 100 grams Tamarind
- 100 grams fresh Garlic Paste
- 100 grams fresh Ginger Paste
- 50 grams Cumin seeds roasted and powdered
- 100 grams mustard seeds roasted and ground
Method of Preparation:
Soak the tamarind in Vinegar atleast 2 hours before preparation of the pickle to extract the pulp. Similarly marinate the chillies in Salt for at least two Hours.
Take a thick bottomed Kadai and heat the Mustard Oil. Add red chilli powder, turmeric, ginger paste and garlic paste and mix well. Add the cumin and mustard powder to this and stir for 2-3 minutes. Add the tamarind pulp prepared earlier to this along with Sugar and cook in low flame. Add the marinated green chillies to this mixture and cook till the oil separates. Cool and store for use.
