- 4 spoons canola oil
- half spoon salt
- one and a half spoon ginger
- 2 teaspoons shah jeera
- 2 teaspoons mustard seeds
- 2 teaspoons turmeric powder
- 1 spoon coriander powder
- 1 spoon red chili powder
- 1 spoon garam masala powder
- one and a half onions
- 5 green chilies
- 1 medium sized tomatoes
- 300 grams green peas
- half a cup diluted coconut milk
Instructions on how to make cashew nut paste.
- Boil around 25 cashew nuts in water for about 10 minutes, until the cashews turn soft.
- Allow the cashews to cool down before putting them in a blender to make a smooth paste.
Tips
- The curry should be cooked under medium heat.
- Cover the wok when cooking. Mix the contents in the wok every 3 to 4 minutes. This is to avoid the contents in the wok from sticking to its bottom .

- Add about 5 spoons of oil in wok. When the oil warms up add about 2 teaspoons of mustard seeds and allow them to crackle.
- Add finely sliced onions and green chilies. Add about half a spoon of salt. Mix thoroughly. Wait until the onions turn transparent. This will take about 10 to 15 minutes.
- Add about 2 teaspoons of turmeric powder. Mix thoroughly. Cook for about 8 minutes.
- Add shah jeera, red chili powder, coriander powder, garam masala powder and finely slices ginger in quick succession. Mix thoroughly. Cook for about 15 minutes.
- Add finely sliced tomatoes. Mix thoroughly. Cook for about 12 minutes until the tomatoes turn soft and almost disappear.
- Add green peas. Cook for about 10 to 15 minutes. This allows for the peas to be properly coated with the masala mixture.
- Add about 2 cups of water. Add salt here if necessary. Cook for about 8 minutes.
- Add about half a cup of diluted coconut milk. Mix thoroughly. Cook for about 10 minutes.
