Whether hosting your own party, or planning to bring a spooky beverage along, here are some quick and easy cocktail ideas. None of these recipes will break the bank, and prep time is minimal, so they are all great for the last minute.
Poison Apple Punch
This one is my absolute favorite. A deliciously intoxicating fall punch, this one is great for Halloween and Thanksgiving!
Ingredients:
- 2 cups apple cider
- 1 cup ginger beer (note: ginger beer is different from ginger ale)
- 1 cup spiced rum
- 2 tbsp. raspberry syrup
- 1 tsp. cinnamon
- pinch nutmeg
Directions:
Mix ingredients together in large pitcher. Serve chilled, but not over ice. Can be garnished with cinnamon sticks.

Brain Hemmorhage
This cocktail is sure to gross out your guests, but it actually tastes surprisingly good!
Ingredients:
- 1 oz. peach Schnapps
- 1tsp. Bailey's Irish Cream
- 1/2 tsp. grenadine
Directions:
Pour the peach schnapps into a glass. Then pour in the bailey's very slowly and carefully, and DO NOT MIX. The bailey's will react with the schnapps and cause the cream to clump and settle at the bottom. Top off the mixture with the grenadine. You'll know you did it right when it looks like an intestine in a glass. Luckily, it is tasty.
Spicy Bloody Mary
The bloody mary is a classic Halloween drink. The best bloody mary's come with a good kick, so don't skimp on the spice!
Ingredients:
- 3 cups tomato juice
- 1 tbsp. lime juice
- 1 tbsp. horseradish
- 1tbsp. minced garlic
- 1 tsp. hot sauce (or to taste)
- 3/4 tsp. salt (or to taste)
- 1/2 tsp. black pepper
- Green martini olives
- Pepperoncini (optional)
- Vodka
Directions:
In a large container, mix the tomato juice, lime, horseradish, garlic, hot sauce, salt and pepper. Depending on how spicy you like things, you can always add more hot sauce. Many people use Tabasco, but any hot sauce will do. After mixing the ingredients, fill each glass with ice and pour one to two ounces of vodka in each glass. Fill the cup the rest of the way with the mixture, and garnish with an olive and a pepperonci.

Bloody Cherry Colada
Nothing goes better with a bowlful of candy than an alcoholic cherry cola! This cocktail is great tasting, and looks good in a glass.
Ingredients:
- cola
- 1 oz. vodka
- 1/2 oz. grenadine
- 1 tsp. syrup from maraschino cherry bottle
- maraschino cherries
Directions:
Coat the bottom of a glass with grenadine. Add ice and vodka. Top with syrup from cherry bottle. DO NOT STIR. Fill glass the rest of the way with cola and enjoy!
