Healthy fast food-please drive around to lose weight!

Updated on September 25, 2015

Eating on the run? Watch the fat and sodium!

Fast food gets a bad rap, and it really earned it.

For decades we all know that fast food in general was very unhealthy for several reasons. Today, many of the same items are still served, but we the consumer, are no longer stuck with those choices. Fast food has changed for the better, and here, I will attempt to help you do the same if you wish to.

The best and tastiest choices.

Here are the healthiest that go down easy, organized by the restaurant.

Mac Donald's- The best choice if you are trying to drop some weight is the Salad with grilled chicken. I prefer the Bacon Ranch, but South West is good too. I get these with Italian dressing,I use a little and that helps of course. You can have it with coffee and that works to trim the calories and send you to the bathroom, in a good way! They also have fat free chocolate milk! Fat is worse than carbs are.

Tip: Mac Donald's also lists the amount of calories for each item. How convenient is that?

Burger King- They have a Veggie Burger that is really good! If you hold the mayo and go with extra lettuce you have a winning choice. Also their Cranberry and Apple Chicken salads are almost as good as Mac Donald's.They are a little different and you may like them better.

*Tip: B.K. sells Pepsi products and now, Diet Pepsi no longer contains Aspartame! So it has just become much safer.

Wendy's : They have a chive potato and of coarse there are the Strawberry Fields Salads. They very good as well. just remember to go with grilled chicken.

What is still somewhat healthy, but tastier.

K.F.C. - The grilled thigh and leg combo comes with a great side of green beans. That and iced tea trims a lot of fat away, and it is so good!

Tip: Try to order grilled chicken and avoid a lot of carbs like mashed potatoes and corn.

Taco Bell- So, is there anything healthy here? yes, but not much. Shredded Chicken Burritos are lower than others choices and Taco bell has a great cup of coffee these days.

Tip: If you drink a lot of water, and do not have any digestive issues, hot sauce can be helpful.

What if you just have to cheat?

Ok, if and when you get weak, here if what you can do.

Go to Wendy's and get a chili and the natural cut fries once in a while. They aren't too bad for you.

Also, Mac Donald's has an ice cream cone the is only 170 calories! Not all of them are fat and carbs. The main thing is to avoid saturated fats.
