Homemade White Frosting Recipes
White Frosting
When I saw the question by 38lucinda asking for a homemade white frosting recipe I knew I had to answer it.
I thought immediately about the Boiled White Frosting that I used to watch my grandmother make when I was a child. Her movements while putting this absolutely delicious frosting together were like watching poetry in mothion. I don't remember her ever measuring a thing. She used to go on instinct, she would add a pinch of this and a dash of that.
The recipe I used for Boiled White Frosting in this hub was one I got from my aunt who told me that my grandmother, when pinned down, gave her measured amounts. I have to say, it is still delicious.
Then I began thinking about the white frosting I used to make with my children. It was so quick and easy that they could do it themselves. I decided that even though it isn't quite as homemade as my grandmother's recipe I would still include it. My daughter is making this recipe with her children now.
I then decided oh well, what the heck, let me include a recipe my neighbor gave me. I have eaten cake at her home with this frosting and it was really, really good. It was so nice and fluffy.
There are so many great recipes out there for frosting that I had a hard time deciding which ones to choose. Hope you enjoy trying one of these white frosting recipes.
