125g/4oz plain flour
1 egg
3 tablespoons melted butter
2 teaspoons baking powder
1 teaspoon salt
1 tablespoon white granulated sugar
250ml/8oz skim milk / semi-skimmed milk
3 tablespoons meted butter
Recipe Instructions
1. sift together flour, salt, sugar, and baking powder into a large bowl
2. make a well in the center and pour in milk, egg, and melted butter. Mix until well combined and smooth
3. gently heat frying pan, grease with oil or butter. Scoop batter onto pan, starting in the middle even the mixture with circular motion outwards until even
4. once it begins to brown on underside, turn (or flip), cooking other side until brown
