How to Make Cinnamon and Apple cake
Being a cake and dessert lover, the recipe I use for making a cinnamon and apple cake needs to be shared with others. I love this cake served warm, just after its baked but it is just as tasty when you have it cold.
Ingredients you'll need
Self raising flour - 250g
Ground cinnamon - 1 tsp
Baking powder - 1 tsp
Light sugar - 100g
Raisins/sultanas - 175g
Sunflower oil - 125ml
2 beaten eggs
Apple juice - 125ml
2 dessert apples grated
Flaked almonds - 25g
Icing sugar for dusting
1. Firstly, preheat your oven to 180c. Line a cake tin with some baking paper. Sift the flour, cinnamon and baking powder into a bowl, then stir in the sultanas/raisins and sugar. Mix in the oil, eggs, apple juice, and grated apple until its all mixed well.
2. Pour the mixture into the tin and then scatter the almonds onto the mix. Pop into the oven and bake for approximately 40 - 45 minutes until the middle is firm. When baked, leave it to cool down in the tin for about 5 minutes and then put on a wire rack to continue cooling. Dust with icing.
3. Get the paper, put your feet up and enjoy a nice slice of your freshly baked Cinnamon and apple cake and enjoy!
