Kale Smoothie Recipe

If you're looking to make a healthy green drink, you don't need a juicer, just a blender and a strainer.

Ingredients:

1 cup kale greens
1/2 cup spinach leaves
1/2 of a chopped cucumber
Juice of 2 lemons

Optional ingredients:

1 green apple, sliced
1 carrot
1 celery stalk

Directions:

Combine lemon juice with 1 cup water and pour into blender. Add all other ingredients. Blend until completely pureed. Empty contents into a strainer, with a bowl placed underneath the strainer to catch the juice. Empty juice into cup. Serve with ice if you'd like.

Benefits:

Health: I recommend drinking one of these several times a week to stay healthy. I eat a strict all-natural food diet (fruits, vegetables, oats, nuts, etc.) and I haven't been sick in over 3 years.

Weight loss: Because the drink contains high-fiber ingredients such as kale, they help keep you full and help you lose water retention.
