How to make Cucumber Relish

Hi Gardening Friends

Here is a recipe if you have to many Cucumbers. You can make Homemade

Cucumber Relish. Here is the recipe for you to try.

Cucumber Relish

8 Cups of chopped Cucumbers

1 Cup of chopped Onions

2 Cups of chopped Red Pepper

2 Cups Chopped Green Peppers

1 Tablespoon of Turmeric

1/2 Cup of Salt

! Tablespoon of Mustard Seed

2 sticks of Cinnamon

2 teaspoon of Cloves

2 teaspoon of allspice

1 to 2 Cups of Brown Sugar

4 Cups of vinegar

Chop and measure all vegetables. Sprinkle with turmeric.

Dissolve salt in 8 cups of cool water. Pour over Vegetables.

Let stand 3 to4 hours. Drain.

Cover vegetables with cool water.

Let stand 1 hour. Drain.

Add spices (tied in bag).

was so surprise when she serve it to family and friends.

      Hi Jean

      What you do to fill the jars is use a funnel the size of the

      top of the jar. And then you would fill the jar with the relish.

      You should cook the relish.

      for 10 minutes.

      You shuld cook the relish for 10 minutess

      You should let the relish simmer.

      I am about to use your recipe to use up some of the large number of cucumbers which our garden has flooded us with.

      Can you confirm that the mixture is not cooked at any stage please?

      You should add brown sugar and vinegar after you drain the cold water off the vegetables. When you add the spices.

      directions a little confusing
