Soybean is rich with protein and it is very cheap. So it is called "meat of the field" or "meat without bone”. Protein in soya has the ability to control cholesterol and blood sugar. Soya promotes ovulation and regulates menses in women and also prevents osteoporosis. Even though most of us avoid it just because of the awful taste of soybean. Here I introduce a tasty spicy soybean curry
Ingredients
Soybean - 2 cup
Onion - 2 nos( cut in to small piece)
Ginger - A small piece ( paste)
Garlic (paste) - 1 tsp
Tomato - 1 Cut in to small piece)
Turmeric powder - 1/2 tsp
chili powder - 1 tsp
Chicken masala - 2 tsp
garammasala -1 tsp
Salt - as required
Coconut milk - 1 glass
Oil - 3 tsp
Curry leaf - 5
Water - 3 cup
Preparation
· Wash soybean, add turmeric powder, 1/2 tsp chili powder, and salt. Boiled until it cooked
· Squeeze the excess water and keep aside
· . Heat the oil in a pan fry onion until become brown, and then add ginger, garlic paste and tomato. Fry it properly.Then add 1/2 tsp chili powder, Chicken masala and Garammasala. Stir well
· . Add soybean and water. When the gravy become thick add one glass of coconut milk and curry leaves.
· Soybean curry ready to serve with chapatti
