Coconut cake recipe
This is an easy coconut cake recipe. Though I have tried different coconut cake recipes, this particular coconut cake recipe came out as the best. I will explain the cake recipe from scratch. This is a very simple recipe for coconut cake.
Ingredients
2 cups flour (maida)
1 cup melted ghee, butter (softened)
1 cup dry coconut powder (or 1 cup dessicated coconut)
¼ cup brown sugar
¼ cup condensed milk (300-400 gms)
¾ tea spoon baking powder
½ teaspoon lemon juice
2 table spoon dry fruits (chopped) and cherry
1 cup water
Sieve the maida flour along with baking powder and keep it aside. Add the brown sugar to butter and cream it well. Add this mixture to condensed milk and mix well. To this mixture, add the remaining ingredients and mix to make a smooth batter. Ensure that there are no lumps. Pour the mixture to the cake tin. Bake in the preheated oven for half an hour at 180°C.
Coconut cake is ready to serve
Special tips:
Make it a chocolate coconut cake by capping the top of the cake with melted chocolate.
