Here is a simple and easy crab cake recipe that you can try to entertain your guests. This recipe involves crabmeat cooked in a worcestershire sauce, red chilli powder, coriander powder, garlic, green chillies and egg. Garnish crab meat with cilantro. You can also substitute cooked shrimp, lobster tail, and dungeness crab for this delicious crab cake recipe.

Ingredients for crab cake:

  • Crab meat - 8 ounces
  • Yellow bell pepper - 1 tablespoon, finely chopped
  • Garlic - 2 minced
  • Onions - 1, finely chopped
  • Celery - 1 tablespoon, chopped
  • Cilantro - 1 tablespoon, finely chopped
  • Egg - 1
  • Green chillies - 3, finely chopped
  • Mayonnaise - 1 tablespoon
  • Worcestershire sauce – 1 teaspoon
  • Red chilli powder - 1 teaspoon
  • Coriander powder - 1 teaspoon
  • Oil - 2 tablespoons for frying

How to make Crab cake:

Wash and clean the crabmeat and make sure there is no shells. Take a pan and add 2 tablespoons of oil. To this add onions, garlic, green chillies, bell pepper and fry until it is tender. Now in a bowl, whisk the egg, mayonnaise, worcestershire sauce, red chilli powder and coriander powder. Add the sauteed onions, bell pepper, chillies, garlic, celery, crab meat and cilantro. Mix well and make flat rounds of the above mixture. Shallow fry on both sides till golden brown. Your delicious crab cake is ready. Serve hot with tartar sauce or ketchup.
