Immunity Boosting Spice Decoction (Kahwa) Recipe
A homemade spice decoction or kahwa prepared with cloves and holy basil leaves. It will not only boost your immunity but also give relief in cough, cold and fever.
Those suffering from high blood pressure should avoid adding any type of salt.
Cook Time
Ingredients
- 7 tulsi/holy basil leaves
- 5 lavang/cloves
- 1 cup water
- 1/8 tsp kala namak/black salt
Instructions
- Pour the water in a pot. Break the cloves by hand into the pot then tear the tulsi leaves by hand & drop into the water.
- Simmer on low heat until the water reduces to half a cup. Stir occasionally.
- Strain out the water. Add the black salt, stir and drink it hot.
